Siva Sankaran follows the religious practices meticulously and lives in Royapettai. He has a lot of competition in business and his competitors become jealous of him. Dana is offered a killing assignment to kill Siva Sankaran. Dana is the rogue in Royapuram and he has the entire area under his control.
Siva Sankaran’s son Barathi loves Gayathri from Thiruvallikeni and he brings his lover to his home to introduce his family. Siva Sankaran approves his son’s love and informs Gayathri that they will start the wedding process by visiting her home first with the family.
 Gayathri was hiding a secret for a long time and she reveals it when Siva Sankaran approves of the wedding affair. Gayathri is the sister of Royapuram Dana.
The entire movie is then about whether Siva Sanakar accepts the marriage and whether Dana succeeds in his attempt and kills the man.
Ponvannan has played the role of Siva Sankaran, a man who reads and follows the principles of Thiru Valluvar. In the movie, Ponvannan is actually the hero.
Udhaya who was actually introduced in Thirunelveli has entered the industry once again. Swetha plays the role of Gayathri.
Aditya is Dana in the movie and he has really explored as an actor in this movie, by rightfully portraying emotions like anger and love. Myna Susan is his wife and she fits her role perfectly. She plays a role similar to Myna and she is a vicious wife in this movie too.
Satyan is the friend of the hero. He tries to teach Brahmin dialect and Thirukkural to Gayathri’s parents who live in the slum area and it is one of the comedy scenes in the movie.
This movie reinforces love within a family and it is a complete family sentimental subject. It should be appreciated that this movie gives a lot of importance to Thirukkural. There is a nice melody in this movie and it is written based on one of the Thirukkural, Anbum Aranum Udai Thayin.
The second half of the movie is fast and gripping, while the first part is slogging. It would have been a better movie if the director provided the same attention to both halves of the movie.
