When graveyards are perceived to be the end, Filmmaker Prateesh has spelled a different show as the life commences there. 'Bayam Ariyan' is all about such a singularly exceptional conceptualization as a mother while letting her last breath in graveyard advises what a meaningful life actually is to the young couple who are soon to marry. Debutant Prateesh himself has penned story, screenplay and dialogues apart from directing this film. T. Ramesh choreographs for the stunts while Devaraj is the art director. P.C. Sivan scores music to the lyrics of Mohan Raj.
Newcomer Raja performs lead role while Kishore, Saranya, Ponnambalam, Kadhal Sugumar, Kottacchi and Boys fame Manikandan take on for a prominent characterization while Sanuja, Devi Kriba and Aswathy are donning female protagonists. The film is produced under the banner of Jayamathi Pictures.
Mahesh is in the lead role while Udhaya Tara is the heroine of this film. Saranya dons the role of the mother. The censor board has awarded an A certificate of this film. This award was not given for vulgar or violence scenes, There is a scene in this film, which depicts that a police officer for his personal gain can utilize youngsters for illegal matters.
The inspector who kindles the young team to perform illegal activities turns against them and this is when our hero awakens. The minus of this movie lies in the disconnected touch between the friends and the heroine falling in love with the hero even without knowing his profession or background. Sometimes it irritates the audience to see the hero plotting his criminal activities and his love story from the graveyard.
The director has very ordinarily portrayed the heroine’s house to be located close to the red light area. Kishore, the inspector, looks natural while he performs the rude role. The twist where Ponnambalam and Kishore fight is good. However, the director fails when the hero behaves like a half mad after his love marriage.
Yesudhas melts minds with the mother sentiment song. The movie scores single in the score as it did not turn as impressive as planned.
