Apavaanan created a major impact in Tamil Nadu through his movie ‘Oomai Viligal’. His assistant Kamal, who studied in the Tamil Nadu Cinema college, is directing his debuting movie titled as ‘Marumugam’. This movie is produced by Entertainment Unlimited.

Banu Chandar and Uma Padmanaban are playing in lead roles. Marumugam goes on to give its opinion of whether the person that a girl chooses for herself is better or the person the parents choose for a girl is better.
Kanagaraj, a student of cinema college is the cinematographer for this movie. He is the one who was behind the camera for the award winning Malaysian Tamil movie, ‘12 hours’. Agasthiya is scoring music for this movie. He is a popular director in the Telugu film industry and for the first time, he is composing music for a Tamil movie. Eknath is the lyricist for all the songs in the movie. Production management is done by Cheenu and Nirmal and Sangeetha Rebecca is co-producing the movie.
The shoot for this movie is already started and several scenes are shot in Kodaikanal and Chennai shore area. |
