Very true ‘All that glitters is not gold’. Things might seem anew and fresh, but later not all that seem real are so!
Starting up as a meek and humble assistant, this guy made his way hard into the industry. Assuming minor roles such as postman and more under the headship of his director, the assistant director has definitely taken up a ‘Pudhiya padhai’ in this industry. Assistants of the Assistant have spotted the limelight with Superstar and Ulaga Nayagan.
His first movie brought him lots of challenges and opportunities. Where is my heroine for the movie? Was one of the few questions that made him spend sleepless nights, the time when he was frantically searching for a girl to cast off in his debut. “Maybe he thinks different” was her opinion when she heard the story line. Though pretty popular of her times, this lady made clear her specifications about the dates and was keen on finishing it off in time.
Days passed by and the movie was into completion. Not everyone realized that the ‘intimacy’ between them grew as well. When I say ‘intimate’ I mean, intimacy to its peak. Director-actor of the movie rose high in his feelings in a few scenes especially where he was close to her. Never did she realize until Late. Cinematographer’s assistant had to put it on his behalf.
This Punjabi, was a man of guts! The moment he realized he was playing CUPID, he confronted the issue with two words “That’s simple”. He assured the director with all positive attributes and enacted his part seemingly well.
Muzzled in thoughts, the director was keenly waiting to get through his examination of life.. the next day….
Knock.. knock….
“Who is it?”
“Ma’m its me.. the asst. cinematographer. The director would prefer talking to you something in personal”
“Welcome sir.. you could have sent your assistant if the shot is ready. Why take pains to come all along?”
(This instant is the crux of the whole story.. Be it Napolean or Alexander, the mightiest of warriors have lost their might at this point)
“Well…. Its that… I …. (cinematographer interrupts here.. )”
“Mam, the director is in love with you and that is the whole point.”
A rabble of reactions covered the girls face. Not knowing what to do her instant reaction was,
“It’s not that I act to make money. Acting is pure passion for me and the concept of love is something that my family would never accept. If you are that daring enough, you can come home and discuss the issue with my parents.”
What else would he want? Yes! She has given a GO..
Spiced up with a few more troubles, the director tied the knot with his girl finally. The happy married couple spent years together in bonding and had two lovely kids to name. Totaling their happiness was the other baby adopted and absorbed in the family. What made this terrible thing happen?
Wait a little more for the ‘Tsunami’ to sweep in by next week…..
