He is one, who is popular for his rhyming dialogues, and at times would weep as he speaks out sentiments. This is the identity of this director cum actor. All these acting are only in cinemas and on stage. In reality, he has proved that he is heartless and least bothered about others sufferings.
A decade ago the director had been running a weekly magazine in his wife’s name. A reporter had been working for the magazine for a few years. After the director halted the production of the magazine, the reporter joined as an editor in one other press. The director of late started a website and the loyal reporter again joined and worked for the director’s new found website.
Recently the reporter fell ill and was in a serious condition in the hospital. When the doctors lost all hope, some of his friends gathered some money to help him out. For other expenses, they contacted the office of the director in which the reporter was currently working.
However, the director seemed to take it lightly. Next day when he came to the hospital, the reporter’s two daughters begged him to help save their dad. Within a few minutes the reporter died. Instead of helping them in a situation like this, the director gave them 2,000 rupees and left the place.
However, the situation was very different in the hospital. The hospital authorities said that only if the bill amount 50,000 was cleared, they would let the body out of the premises. Some of the cine stars came to help and with their help last rites of the reporter was performed. After 24 hours, the director returned and promised them to provide a good sum. Reporters doubt whether this man, who escaped at times of need, would keep his word?
In Tamil cinema during the 80s, it was in his film that grand settings were first used. His films were highly successful and were even screened for over 200 days then. Would you believe the news that he hardly has a few hundred in his pocket, in spite of owning crores of rupees worth property? Surprisingly that’s the truth. He only has a few thousands in his bank accounts as well. It seems he has to get the permission of his wife to withdraw from his account.
Even the money earned by his son is under the watchful eyes of his wife. If at all the director had to go out, he has to beg to his wife, even to get those few hundred rupees. It seems during the production, his wife takes up the role of a production manager. He speaks with all sorts of gestures as if a hero while making public speeches. However, behaves like a dumb animal in front of his wife.
Even when he returns home after completing programs for TV channels, he would be questioned at the very threshold to recite accounts as if he were an elementary school boy. It seems the director had been suffering in this manner for years together now.
While his wife treats him this way, his son’s treatment is still worse. If the director calls him, he would pick up the phone and say, "Sir is in discussion…call him later" in a different voice. If the director rings again, his son would change his voice as that of a lady’s and say ‘the number you have dialed is not in use…’ There is something yet worse, the son would at times use a different SIM card and send the image of a bear and comment that the director looks as good as the bear.
This director who is an utter comedy piece is also the leader of a party and this is what makes the comedy more humorous.
