After the ‘Animal film’, when he started the ‘history film’, he had problems with the producer right from the beginning. Later he clashed with Aadhi also (hero of the film). Hero complained that the director has been torturing him according to his whims and fancies. The funniest part is that the film came to a halt when the hero absconded.
This too was taken to the local jury and was enquired at various places including producers association, actors association and the like. Later on, he compromised with the hero and continued to shoot the film. Even after these strenuous efforts the film isn’t getting released and this worries the producer a lot.
These problems caused by the director itself can be filmed in to an interesting movie, says his close circle. If you ask in the style of ‘Nayagan’ if the director is good or bad, all of the people in the unit say it in a chorus “we don’t know!”
During a film festival, we asked a person who had worked along with the director for the film the same question. What he whispered about the director was 50% funny and 50% serious and he also asked us not to reveal this to anyone. Only god knows how many times he could have said this to people. After getting the assurance that we wouldn’t tell it to any one he started…

He is directing a film which has the name of the place where culture was first born. The heroine of the film has the name of Nagarjun’s wife partially. She is a new face and she seems to be innocent in the shooting spots. One of the director’s friends seems to misbehave with the actress.
According to the story the friend of the director acts as the heroine’s father. He has been envying the hero for his closeness with the actress and even spoke his mind out during a party with the director. The director too promised him that he would fulfill the wishes of his friend the very next day in a drunken state. In his turn the friend promised that if the director fulfilled his wish he would not only give his entire pay but also give him a continuous party for a week.
The next day the first scene for the heroine was to embrace her dad and weep. There were no such scenes in the script yet the innocent actress dared not to question the director or understand his plans. Upon the jargons ready…take…action… the heroine came running and embraced her dad (in the movie) and started weeping. Even after a long time the director didn’t say cut. Utilizing the opportunity the director’s friend started hugging the innocent actress tightly.
Only after a long time the actress came to realize what was happening to her and she had to free herself and run away from the spot. When she reported about this to the director, her replied these things are common in acting. After learning that it was director’s plan, she had walked away from the shooting spot. In order to save his already bad reputation it seems the director had to apologize to the actress and suppress the matter from leaking outside.
Probably they are blend of God and beast which is unique to the movie world.
