The Mullaperiyar dam issue is dissected and analyzed by different Tamil and Malayalam magazines and TV channels. However, Tamil heroes and heroines are keeping their mouth shut about this issue.

The Tamil actors have a wide reach in the Malayalam industry as well. Most of the Tamil movies are directed with the intention of releasing it in Kerala too. The actors are playing it safe as they don't want to affect the success of their movies in either Tamil Nadu or Kerala. The Actors Association called every single member and warned everyone against commenting anything on the issue. So, the entire industry has come together now in keeping tight lips about the dam issue.
