Nine movies as such as one movie: will there be changes in Tamil movie?
The word copy has become very familiar in Tamil movies. Same type of – movies, story, screenplay, characters are the very own features of Tamil movies. Even the directors grow with such repeated movies without any own thoughts.
The climax of “Kadhal Solla Vanthaen”, “Bana Kathadi” has similar scenes. In both the movies the hero dies in a road accident. This was made intentionally to make the audience to come out of the theatres with heart full of sorrows. Even though this type of climax is unnecessary the question is how it could is possible for the two directors to think alike?
This climax cannot even get digested even when we think that they both may have creative ideas. This seems to be a true copy. 10 years back many movies ended their climax in the railway stations or else the hero may get some unknown disease, or even some may donate their organs for the sake of love.
The reason behind this copy is because of Asst-Directors so says the complaints. This mistake is mainly because of the discussion with the Asst-Directors on the climax scenes. The kodambakkam moves with the disease of even copying from world movies.
Ozeeya is already declared that the movie “Gajini” directed by A R Murugadass and “7am Arivu” in process is the copy of Hollywood movies. In the same way “Madrasappatinam” directed by Vijay has got the reflection of “The Titanic”. But the appreciable part of it is that the reflection has been given according to the taste of Tamil fans. The torture is that the Hollywood movies are copied only for the sake of story but they lack in screenplay and direction.
We could never forget the series of movies which reflected “Paruthiveeran” after the grand success. There were more than Half a Dozen movie with the same style of make-up and costumes. The saddest part of it is even the director Ameer introduced himself as a hero in “Yogi” with the same type of copy. “Yogi” is the copy of “Sotchi”.
we can even create a note book if we shortlist the movies copied from Hollywood. But that is not our job now. Our only sadness is that why do they copy when there are lot of stories. There are many stories succeeded due to the screen play. Such stories surely satisfy the cine fans.
The director K S Ravikumar has said in one of his interview”that there are stories from 1-9 it is important to think how we have said. It is true because the audience gets satisfied in how we arrange a party than about a food.
There are lot of stories and incidents takes place in a day to day life. So it will be healthier if the directors get rid of the habit of copying. We cannot say that all the directors are of such types. The important thing to note is that the new upcoming directors are giving best movies based on the real life stories of many.
